You can help narrow the achievement gap for children living in poverty! SKLD’s Countdown to Kindergarten program empowers parents of preschool children to help them get ready to start kindergarten, by teaching them research-based literacy and social-emotional activities to practice at home. 

Each $75 Family Literacy Kit includes books, ABC magnets, writing materials, activity cards, and more for disadvantaged families in Bridgeport and Norwalk. This essential kit includes all the materials that families receive with each Countdown to Kindergarten session, reinforcing the content and activities of each session so they can be practiced at home.
